AHArts is excited to announce our Annual Juried Exhibition, “Liminal Spaces.” We ask artists to respond to the uncertain spaces between where you've been and where you're going. This concept can be explored physically, emotionally, or metaphorically. To be in a liminal space means to be in a transitional space, neither here nor there, perhaps on the edge of something but not quite there yet.

Eligible Works: The exhibition is open to all artists 18 years and older located in the United States. All two-dimensional, three-dimensional, media and video art will be considered. Two-dimensional work must not exceed 48” (including frame) in any direction. Three-dimensional work must not exceed 24” in any direction and must not weigh more than 25lbs (artists must provide pedestals). All 2D work must be properly framed, wired, and ready to hang. Juror: Seth Ruggles Hiler - Seth Ruggles Hiler's first inspiration was the nature of northern New Jersey farmland. While at Syracuse University, Hiler’s creative interests bloomed into portraying the spirit of humans and the communities they create.  He went on to study figurative oil painting at the New York Academy of Art.  He continues to paint the beauty of nature and the nature of humanity.  Hiler holds an BFA from Syracuse University and an MFA from the NY Academy of Art. Hiler was a drawing and painting professor for the Bard Early College Network and currently teaches in the Visual and Performing Arts Department of Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, NJ.

Entry Fee: Artists may submit up to two artworks with their submission fee.
