The Atlantic Highlands Arts Council will take an Arts Trek day trip to Manhattan's trendy Whitney Museum on Saturday, May 31st!
We'll have time to enjoy current art exhibits, have lunch and walk the adjacent High Line Park.
Lunch and transportation to the museum are on your own.
Our group will be limited to 15. Arrival time TBA. Admission cost (around $30 or less) will depend upon the number of attendees and ages. Deadline to sign up is May 8. (Please specify if you are 65 or older for a senior discount).
The Whitney Museum celebrates contemporary American art, with a special focus on 20th-century art. Exhibits feature paintings, prints, sculptures, video and digital art, including pieces by Edward Hopper, Kara Walker, Georgia O'Keefe, Faith Ringgold, Lee Krasner, Jasper Johns, Alexander Calder and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
