I've been taking photos since I was very young, mostly of family and friends. I realize now that I was the unofficial "staff photographer" in my neighborhood. It wasn't until I started taking photos as references for a few of my wife's paintings over the past few years that I'd realized how much I enjoyed the process of capturing a moment - specifically when it came to the nature that surrounds us. It began in my own backyard, taking photos of whatever visited us on any given day. Then it branched out (no pun intended) to the numerous beautiful parks in the Bayshore area. All in all, taking photos of nature is a very tranquil endeavor - which is much needed at times. I've been inspired by my wife's journey as an artist (she continues to amaze me) - as well as the other great local artists and photographers who I've had the pleasure of getting to know at shows and openings over the years. It's a community that I'm very proud to become a part of.
